TRUMPED!: Last night on RAW, Mr. McMahon stole a victory over Bobby Lashley. Tonight, Lashley and Mr. McMahon will have their final showdown between now and the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23! Now let the bodies hit the floor. (VIDEO INCLUDED BELOW~!)

Your hosts are Joey Styles and Tazz.

  • Rob Van Dam vs. Elijah Burke

This is a meeting between the two captains of the ECW Originals and the New Breed before the two sides meet at WrestleMania. Van Dam feels out Burke to start. During a headscissors sequence, Burke blocks a bridge by leaving his feet and using all his weight to crash down RVD. He beats Van Dam into the corner and brings him out for a slam and an elbow drop. RVD avoids a backdrop though and kicks back at Burke to mount a comeback. He crotches Burke and hits a flying kick to send him to the floor. As Burke gets to his feet, RVD is right there to drill him with a somersault plancha. Commercials! When we come back, Burke is in charge with a chinlock. Van Dam fights out and tries the Rolling Thunder, but hits knees. Burke capitalizes with a series of suplexes looking like Petey Williams out there. After he pulls back on Van Dam’s arms, he locks in a modified Texas Cloverleaf and then bends Van Dam back into a Haas of Pain. Brutal stuff, but Van Dam finds the ropes. A slingshot elbow drop finds the mark, but Burke takes forever to cover and only gets two. After he bends on RVD some more in a chinlock, Burke fights off a charging Van Dam with a boot and flips backwards onto the apron. That was actually pretty cool. He heads up top, but Van Dam kicks him in the face on the way down. RVD fires back with clotheslines and kicks. Burke reverses a corner whip and goes for the ELIJAH EXPRESS, but misses and gets drilled by the FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH to give Van Dam the win. (9:31 shown) Perfectly acceptable wrestling as the kids are saying these days. Afterwards, the New Breed come out and attack RVD until the rest of the ECW Originals run them off. **

It is time for Extreme Expose. Layla, Brooke, and Kelly Kelly come out and dance to “Wait (The Whisper Song)” by the Ying Yang Twins.

In the back, Edge meets up with the Hardy Boyz and CM Punk to see if they can’t work together tonight and take out their other Money in the Bank opponents to even the odds for WrestleMania 23.

  • Snitsky vs. Balls Mahoney

Already in the ring is Balls Mahoney. Not good, pal. Snitsky destroys this guy and hits him with the MAFIA KICK in 1:15.

Let Us Take You Back to RAW. We get a video package highlighting how Mr. McMahon defeated Bobby Lashley in a no-DQ match by stacking the deck against Lashley. He did just fine until McMahon kicked him in the balls and threw him into a Samoan Drop. Umaga is just so awesome.

Backstage, Finlay finds Randy Orton and Mr. Kennedy whispering to each other and doesn’t like it. King Booker and Queen Sharmell appear wanting to know what’s up. As they walk away, Finlay tells Booker that Orton and Kennedy were saying some real bad stuff about him. Oh boy. Booker wants to work together with Finlay tonight. Finlay agrees, but Finlay reminds Booker that he can’t trust him.

We now go to the final McMahon-Lashley showdown before WrestleMania. McMahon joins us from Stamford CT and lets us know he’s so glad to not be in Grand Rapids. HA! McMahon says he looks and feels somewhat ragged after staying up all night partying to celebrate his victory. He thinks Lashley should feel grateful that he’s in Grand Rapids and McMahon is not because he would beat the hell out of him just like he did last night. This is a great wrestling promo by Vince. I love it. Lashley is short on words and says McMahon will be a bald headed son of a bitch after WrestleMania. Unlike his daughter, Vince sells those comments appropriately.

  • The Hardy Boyz, Edge & CM Punk vs. Mr. Kennedy, Randy Orton, Finlay & King Booker (w/Queen Sharmell)

The match is JIP as Matt Hardy gives Kennedy the Side Effect for two. By the way, there’s a ladder at ringside to remind us why these eight guys will be fighting at WrestleMania. Matt tags in Jeff for some TANDEM OFFENSE~! Orton tags in and stomps the life out of Jeff in the corner, but then Jeff comes back with Whisper in the Wind. Double-team legdrop to Orton by the Hardys gets two. In comes Punk, he gets dominated for the next several minutes as Booker and Finlay take turns grinding Punk down. Orton hits Punk hard with a crossface blow and drops a knee on him for two. Back to Booker, Punk reverses a corner whip on him and hits the running knee followed by the bulldog. He tags in Edge who acts real psyched to nail Booker with the Spear, but then walks over and slaps Punk before walking out on his team. What a dick. Booker buries some knees into Punk, but then gets caught with an enziguri kick. The match then breaks down and ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE. During the melee, Finlay nails Punk with the shillelagh and staggers him into the SCISSORS KICK from Booker for the win. (8:31 shown) After the bell, the winners all start clubbing on each other until the Hardys grab a short ladder and clear the ring. Jeff brings the 20-footer into the ring and the Hardy Boyz climb the ladder to meet at the top and grab the Money in the Bank briefcase causing our imaginations to run amuck as we close out the show. **½
