Nice video package showcasing all that Steve Austin has done to Mr. McMahon since he screwed him out of the WWF title at Unforgiven, all that Undertaker and Kane have done to McMahon since being screwed out of the WWF title, and McMahon’s response to all three parties. YOU WILL BE HUMBLED, STEVE AUSTIN.

IT’S GETTING HOT IN HERRE! Your hosts are Shane McMahon and Jim Cornette.

  • Bradshaw vs. Steve Blackman

Whoa, no entrance for Bradshaw. He really hasn’t been the same since the Brawl for All. Shane and Corny explain Blackman was forced back into wrestling by Mr. McMahon before he was “medically cleared” due to a knee injury. They trade shots early, but Blackman runs into a Fallaway Slam. Bradshaw boots down Blackman and hits a pair of elbow drops for two. Short-arm clothesline connects. Cornette does the hard sell for the PPV main event. Blackman avoids a powerbomb with a backdrop and hits a snap suplex for two. He ducks away from a big boot by Bradshaw and delivers a Bicycle Kick for the win. (2:58) Afterwards, the BLUE BLAZER jumps Blackman and kicks the crap out of him. Shane knows it’s Owen, but Cornette denies knowledge of who the Blue Blazer because he wasn’t around here when the Blue Blazer was an active wrestler. That’s funny. ¾*

From earlier today, we catch Paul Bearer getting a couple plates at catering. Oof.

  • The Oddities (w/ICP & Luna) vs. Los Boricuas

We catch Luna earlier in the week training ICP to wrestle. Golga starts out against Perez and does just fine until he’s double-teamed with a back suplex. He ducks a double clothesline and runs down both Perez and Estrada. Kurrgan comes in and side slams Castillo, but misses a running elbow drop. Now that he’s down, Los Boricuas jump his bones – including a standing moonsault by Perez. Of course once Kurrgan stands up, he does just fine. Tag to Silva, he gives Castillo a powerbomb. Golga runs the ropes and hits the GOLGA SPLASH for the win. (2:31) Afterwards, the Headbangers show up and start beating the crap out of ICP until the New Age Outlaws help out to get more heat for their match on the PPV. ½*

  • The Godfather (w/a pair of ho’s) vs. Faarooq

I mean, these ladies look more classy than the usual tripe Godfather has around him. Since he’s known Faarooq a long time, he grabbed two of the best hos he could find in Chicago. Even though they aren’t his normal hos, they are good enough for Faarooq. He gives Faarooq the chance to get a beating or take a ho. Well, Faarooq jabs Godfather and takes him out to the floor for a ride into the steps. Hey look, it’s Euro champ D’LO BROWN and MARK HENRY coming down to ringside. There’s some corner to corner back and forth brawling. Godfather finds a powerslam for two. He misses a legdrop and Faarooq heads up top only to get crotched. A round kick to the chest ends Faarooq in 1:54. After the bell, Brown and Henry pull Faarooq out and throw him into the ringpost. They even turn on the Godfather with a LO DOWN and a splash from Henry. THE ROCK runs down for the save and chases away both Henry and Brown. ½*

During the break, we see the Jackyl show up wearing a suit and tie and some Hunter S. Thompson shades to talk Faarooq into something.

Let Us Take You Back to War Zone, 10/12/98. They show Goldust returning and debuting “Shattered Dreams” on homewrecker Val Venis. Val comes out to do commentary for the next match.

Michael Cole catches up with Paul Bearer backstage. He’s just here to eat some food, catch up with some friends, and watch the show. That’s all.

  • Jeff Jarrett vs. Scorpio

Val talks about how crazy and dangerous Goldust is now. Jarrett punches Scorpio back into a corner, but then Scorpio gets whipped across and floats over and flips around before hiptossing and dropkicking Jarrett down. An usher shows up and hands Val Venis a “golden package”. Meanwhile, Jarrett clotheslines Scorpio to the floor. Turns out the package is a golden cup. Well, Val is PISSED and leaves. NO CUP CAN HOLD HIS ERECTION. Flying body press by Jarrett gets two. Scorpio wakes up from a chinlock, but runs into a knee. He hits Jarrett with somewhat of a spinning kick. The ref gets bumped and falls to the floor while Al Snow and Head show up at ringside. Snow puts part of Head into the ref’s belt loop and sends the ref back inside the ring. While Jarrett yells at Snow, Scorpio sneaks a rollup on Jarrett for the three-count. (3:41) Not sure what that Head thing was about, but whatevs. Quick decent match. *½

We see Steve Austin showing up to the arena. Vince’s stooges are there to stop him from entering the “wrestlers locker room” with orders from McMahon and tell him to go change with the referees. Its basically a broom closet. Austin throws out Mike Chioda and takes his lumps.

The injured Triple H comes out with Chyna and X-Pac to present the IC title to the new champion Ken Shamrock. Commissioner Slaughter, Pat Patterson, and Gerald Brisco are also in the ring beside Shamrock. Before we get started, Slaughter sends X-Pac and Chyna to the dressing room. Slaughter turns the segment over to the first IC champ Pat Patterson. Pat is honored to be here and says Shamrock reminds him of when he defeated 15 other guys in Rio de Janeiro to win the IC title the first time. As for Triple H, Pat claims he stole the IC belt at SummerSlam and was a total disgrace as champion. Now we have an IC champ to be proud of around here. Pat calls out to Steve Austin to watch how he is being humble, because that’s how Austin will have to act tonight as a referee. Triple H grabs the mic away from Pat, hands the IC belt over to Shamrock, and heads to the aisle. Triple H gives Shamrock a “SUCK IT” from himself, the rest of DX, and everybody here in Chicago.

Steve Austin looks pretty focused watching a monitor back in the referees closet.

Meanwhile, Mr. McMahon is wheeling around backstage with the masked figure from RAW that turned out to be the Big Bossman. Why is he still wearing the ski mask? Commercials!

When we come back, Ken Shamrock is standing around Vince’s stooges when he catches Triple H getting into his car. He runs over and slams the door on Triple H’s injured knee. CHAOS ENSUES.

For the final PPV sell, Vince McMahon comes out in his fancy wheelchair and is protected by the Big Bossman (still wearing a ski mask for some reason), some more canines, and a K-9 unit. He’s essentially Mr. Burns at this point. Essentially, Vince tells Steve Austin has to make the right choice tonight – OR HE’LL BE FIRED. DO NOT DEFY HIM, STEVE. You will be humbled Because Mr. McMahon Said So. In the referees closet, Austin gets enraged and destroys a monitor to close the show.

JUDGMENT DAY IS UPON US. It’s next. Until then, so long for now.
