AUSTIN, YOU HAVE NO CHANCE IN HELL. We start the show with a video package of Vince and his Corporation reminding everyone he’s placed a $100,000 bounty for whoever can eliminate Stone Cold Steve Austin in the Royal Rumble match – because tonight is the ROYAL RUMBLE!
Onto the Arrowhead Pond, STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN arrives at the VIP parking area in his Ford F-150. When the security guy who stops Austin lets him know this parking area for limos only, Austin does a wild U-turn in his truck – leaving tire marks and smoke everywhere – as he goes to find parking elsewhere.

LAST WEEK ON RAW: WWF Commissioner Shawn Michaels was publicly fired by Vince McMahon for still having a little “DX” in him to end the program. Not one to lay down for anybody, HBK gives Vince SWEET CHIN MUSIC and babyfaces himself in one single moment. They show Vince eating shoe leather from about seven different angles in a matter of five seconds. Hilarious. Apparently at some point this week, Vince told whomever will listen on WWF.com that he’s going to “dismember” Shawn Michaels. We’ll hear from Shawn Michaels from his home in San Antonio via satellite later tonight.

Vince McMahon comes out to a HORRENDOUS amount of boos. He declares there will be no chance in hell Stone Cold Steve Austin will ever be the WWF champion. He knows he said that if Austin wins the “Buried Alive” match tonight against the Undertaker, he would qualify for the Royal Rumble. However, McMahon feels Austin’s hopes of reaching the Royal Rumble will be literally “buried alive” by the Undertaker on the Rock Bottom PPV here tonight. As far as the Rock is concerned and his condition, this PPV tonight will be dedicated to the Best Damn WWF champion there ever has been. Vince asks for the crowd to pay homage to the Rock here tonight and calls for a drumroll. As McMahon points to the stage, fireworks go off and a huge blown up shot of the Rock holding the WWF championship drops and hangs on either side of the entryway. Now that’s out of the way, Vince starts to denigrate Canada just as he did to England a week earlier. Once he’s done slamming Canada for being a bunch of US-wannabes, he brings out Shane McMahon to join Kevin Kelly for commentary.

We have not really heard much out of Kaientai since TAKA Michinoku lost the WWF Light Heavyweight title to Christian back at Judgment Day: In Your House back in October. Now that Duane Gill from the JOB Squad has managed to capture the Light Heavyweight title away from Christian, now is the time for TAKA Michinoku and Kaientai to win back the gold. We see Yamaguchi-san cutting a short Japanese promo from a stairwell. Standing behind him are TAKA Michinoku and Sho Funaki with their arms crossed looking pissed while Dick Togo and Men’s Teioh stand behind *them* waving Japanese flags.
