hof_atlas

Anywho, the WWE Network has selected some of the greatest black wrestlers ever and offers a special on each of them. We start with a couple Hall of Famers: Tony Atlas and Bobo Brazil.

Your host is Gene Okerlund.

We open the show with a horrific view of Ric Flair lying comatose on an operating table with his head stitched up. If you didn’t watch Fall Brawl, you might think he was dead.

HOUR NUMBER ONE! Your hosts are Tony Schiavone, Larry Zbyszko, and Mike Tenay. Realizing all he has done for his career, Tony feels like he can’t do the show tonight and walks off. We see more brutality from Fall Brawl including the nasty bump Chris Benoit takes over the ropes into the Wargames cage as well as Curt Hennig slamming the cage door on Flair’s head. Buy the replay, ya’ll.

This is a hot Charlotte crowd that doesn’t seem to remember their hero has fallen. SHUT UP AND BE DEPRESSED.

We stare right into the nappy head of Raven to start the show. He cuts one of his signature ECW promos about being a tortured young kid growing in the late 1970s while sitting alone in a dark room. Two years later, “Freaks and Geeks” debuted on NBC TV about a bunch of misfit teenagers trying to figure it all out in the late 1970s. COINCIDENCE? Probably. Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore”.

And now, we transition to see those kind of girls who Raven could never get in high school: THE NITRO GIRLS!

Backstage, the Giant is confronted by police and Doug Dellinger and handed a PIECE OF PAPER~! Is it a warrant? Is it a restraining order? What’s going on?!

Michael Buffer asks us if we are ready to rumble. Indeed, we are. NITRO GIRLS! It always seems like Fyre is in the back of these dance routines. Not cool.
