- The Bushwhackers vs. Damien Demento & Repo Man
Where are those crazy Bushwhackers? They’re in the audience licking people. Not sure that’s a very safe idea. Anywho, we take a whole commercial break before the Bushwhackers finally end up over the guardrail and into the ring to face their umm, opposition. This week, the rather large Raw girl gets some tongue from the Bushwhackers since the Nasties aren’t here. Next Sunday night on the USA Network will be the annual ‘March to WrestleMania’ show that is slated for two hours. In the main event, Yokozuna meets Randy Savage! The Bushwhackers will also be teaming up with midget wrestler Tiger Jackson to take on the Beverly brothers and Little Louie. Onto the match! There’s some butt biting and clotheslining to start. Back in, Demento and Repo double-team Luke to bite and stretch on his face. Double-KO and Butch gets a tag. DOUBLE NOGGIN KNOCKER on the heels! With Repo on the floor, he trips up the Bushwhackers and prevents a double-clothesline from happening to Demento. While Demento tries a slam on Butch, Luke tips Demento over and Butch falls on top, but the ref is busy getting Luke out of the ring to count. Repo tries to save with an elbow drop, but Butch rolls out of the way and Demento gets nailed. BATTERING RAM to Repo! Butch covers for the 1-2-3. (5:29) This would prove to be the last appearance for the Repo Man in the WWF until he returned at WrestleMania 17 for the infamous gimmick battle royal. ½*
- Tatanka vs. Reno Riggins
And to think this was supposed to have been Tatanka v. Repo Man. Pretty good squash as Riggins tries to make a match out of it. As Riggins goes air borne off a backdrop, Savage thinks maybe Tatanka could backdrop HBK OUT OF CAESAR’S PALACE on April 4. Eventually, Riggins makes the mistake of giving Tatanka a turnbuckle smash, which leads to the War Dance, and the PAPOOSE TO GO at 3:30.
Andre the Giant gets a nice video induction as the first ever member into the WWF Hall of Fame.
- WWF Tag Team Champions Money Inc. vs. Scott Rich and Jeff Armstrong
I don’t know which jobbers is which, and neither do our esteemed commentators. Bartlett chooses this match to check out the competition on other cable channels. Vince – “There is no competition!” Somewhere Eric Bischoff is watching laughing maniacally and petting a white cat, I suppose. IRS catches the bald one who resembles Baron Von Raschke with the WRITE-OFF lariat for the win at 3:04.
It’s time for the WrestleMania IX Report with Mean Gene. Nothing new to report. WWF champ Bret Hart v. Yokozuna, WWF tag champs Money Inc. takes on the Mega Maniacs, and Undertaker meets Giant Gonzales.
- Doink the Clown vs. Kamala (w/Slick)
Doink brings a gift wrapped present with him to the ring. Of course it’s just to distract Kamala to gain an unfair advantage over the much weaker and simple-minded black man. Doink outwrestles the big guy at the beginning and works the arm, but Kamala keeps chopping him away with his other arm. After some commercials, we come back to see that Doink is back in control of the arm. Kamala chops Doink out to the floor where he’s offered the pretty present again. Slick is yelling at Kamala to NOT take the present. Can Kamala be able to resist colorful wrapping paper? Nope. He opens the gift to find that there’s nothing in it. Oh, what a MEAN clown. In the time it took Kamala to open the gift, he ends up being counted out of the ring to give Doink the victory. (3:40 shown) That just proves to anger Kamala who chases Doink in, out, and UNDER the ring. Once Doink climbs out from under the other side of the ring, he BLASTS what appears to be Kamala sneaking out behind him with a chair! Actually he just hits one of the steel support beams of the ring to make a loud noise, which sounds quite scary! Enough of the mind games. Kamala crawls out from under a different side of the ring and sneaks up behind Doink with a big chop. Now Kamala grabs the chair and chases Doink all the way backstage. Sounds fun I know, but keep in mind that this was the MAIN EVENT of the program. ¾*
Rob Bartlett’s fan club that consists of three different fat Raw girls show up. Bartlett proceeds to then give all three of them kisses right on the mouth. Oh that Bartlett. WHAT WON’T HE DO?
Next Week: No Raw, just March to WrestleMania IX on Sunday night! Yoko/Savage, Taker/Bigelow, Special Interview with the Mega Maniacs, also midgets!
