Women’s Champion: Alundra Blayze (4/3/1995)

Your hosts are Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler.

  • WWF World Tag Team Champions Owen Hart & Yokozuna (w/Mr. Fuji & Jim Cornette) vs. Razor Ramon & Savio Vega

Last week, Razor and Savio ran out of time and couldn’t finish the match. Now they’re getting plenty of time in the rematch at the beginning of the show. This was not on par with the action last week. After Razor and Savio get in a few shots, Ramon becomes *your* face in peril. It never gets really interesting with as the tag champs look very strong against Razor. The hot tag comes after a double-KO. Savio lands his SPINNING HEEL KICK on Yoko to knock him over, but it’s hardly enough to put him away. Razor pulls Owen out to the floor while Yoko catches Savio in a Samoan drop. Yoko hits the LEG DROP and that’s all she wrote. (12:13 shown) Very strange booking since the tag champs weren’t even featured at SummerSlam and Razor Ramon was in such a huge IC title ladder match. **

Over at The Report Card with Dean Douglas, he analyzes the teamwork shown in the previous tag match and gives the challengers a grade of “TT” for Terrible Twosome. Anything below an “F” has to be bad, right?

In the back, Diesel high fives Shawn Michaels as he passes him in the hallway.

Earlier today, Jerry Lawler visits Isaac Yankem DDS in his office. It’s amazing that nobody else in the office seems to mind this strange man wearing tights and a crown who shouldn’t be here is staring down at the patients and talking about much he hates Bret Hart and what Yankem is going to do to him at SummerSlam.

  • Fatu vs. Tony DeVito

Say no to drugs! Finish school! Kick white guys in the balls! Give people Samoan cutters! Splash them from the top rope! You know, make a difference! Fatu wins in 2:43.

Todd Pettengill delivers the SummerSlam Report. The only thing that has changed is Shawn/Sid to Shawn/Razor in a LADDER match for the IC title. Even though the change doesn’t make sense storyline-wise, the card was looking pretty weak without that ladder match. Thanks, interim WWF president Gorilla Monsoon!

  • Kama (w/Ted DiBiase) vs. Tony Haste

The Creatures of the Night are sitting at ringside. Kama gets in their face a few times and yells at them. More importantly, Sid phones in and yells about being kicked out of the IC title picture for SummerSlam. Cross Armbreaker finishes Haste in 1:25.

  • WWF World Champion Diesel vs. Sir Mo

Back and forth power stuff to start. Diesel hits the Bossman straddle and big boots Mo out to the floor. Here comes King Mabel. The distraction allows Mo to yank Diesel to the outside. Shawn Michaels appears. It’s getting too crazy! Commercials! When we return, Diesel makes his comeback with the Side Slam and hits the JACKKNIFE for the win. (6:55 shown) Mabel clotheslines Diesel immediately, but Shawn dropkicks the big guy out. He makes a mistake of trying a pescado on him though and gets caught and rammed into the ringpost. Diesel saves his buddy causing Men on a Mission to saunter away. Because of next week’s match, Jerry Lawler threatens HBK while refs hold him back. ¾*

NEXT WEEK: Shawn Michaels meets Jerry Lawler!
