The current WWF champs were as follows:
World Champion: Bret Hart (3/20/1994)
Intercontinental Champion: Razor Ramon (8/29/1994)
World Tag Team Champions: Shawn Michaels & Diesel (8/28/1994)
Women’s Champion: Alundra Blayze (12/26/1993)

Your hosts are Vince McMahon and Randy Savage.

  • WWF Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon vs. Yokozuna (w/Mr. Fuji & Jim Cornette)

Yoko catches Razor at the start, but Razor fires back and puts Yoko on the floor. After some advice from Fuji, we’re back inside the ring. Razor tries to shoulder butt the arm, but that does little to affect Yoko. He starts whipping Ramon around and drops a leg on him. Nerve hold and it’s time for a commercial. When we come back, more of the nerve hold. Razor escapes and avoids an avalanche to set up the Flying Bulldog for 1-2-NO! Some dark figure is wheeling a Yokozuna-sized casket down to the ring. Meanwhile, Razor discus right hands Yoko to the floor. He staggers back into the casket, freaks out, waddles past the shadowy figure, and heads to the locker room writhe with FEAR. That gives Ramon the countout win. (9:26 shown) Well, that sucked. ½*

Todd Pettengill has your Survivor Series Report set for Wednesday night November 23 at 8 EST/5 PST from San Antonio, Texas. Yesterday on the Action Zone, WWF champ Bret Hart grants Bob Backlund another title shot at the Survivor Series. Here are the matches currently signed:

  • MAIN EVENT: WWF Champion Bret Hart vs. Bob Backlund
  • Guts N Glory (Lex Luger, Adam Bomb, Mabel, and the Smoking Gunns) vs. The Million Dollar Team (Bam Bam Bigelow, Tatanka, King Kong Bundy, and the Heavenly Bodies)
  • The Smoking Gunns vs. Barry Hardy & Mike Bell

We are JIP with this one, but that’s okay. Vince and Savage talk up Bob Backlund for most of the match. Smoking Gunns win with their flying finish that’s not the Sidewinder at 1:56 shown.

  • Tatanka (w/Ted DiBiase) vs. Scott Taylor

Vince – “If Walter Cronkite can be found at a Grateful Dead concert, anything can happen!” A conversation about deadheads segues to the Undertaker. We get some stock car racing talk while Tatanka chokes and stomps through his heel routine. Taylor sneaks a rollup, but only gets two. Flying Head Chop and the END OF THE TRAIL wins at 3:58. Tatanka takes part in some extracurricular activities after the bell because he’s EVIL.

Elsewhere, IRS is really trying to get over this “death and taxes” as he starts going after the Undertaker cutting a promo standing outside a funeral home.

  • Adam Bomb vs. Phil Apollo

Savage wants us to tune into the three-night movie tribute to John Candy airing on the USA Network. Over six months late on that, but better late than never. What are the odds Vince McMahon knows who John Candy even is? The MELTDOWN follows the Flying Clothesline for the win at 1:46. Hey look, Bob Backlund sneaks up on Adam Bomb and puts him in the CFCW. WHERE IS LEX LUGER NOW?

Time for another installment of the King’s Court with Jerry Lawler. He warms up the crowd with insults before introducing his newest little king: Cheesy. Queasy and Sleazy follow behind him. Once and for all, they will rid the WWF of Doink and his gaggle of miniature clown people at Survivor Series. To play off the Burger King jokes, Lawler calls his right hand the “Whopper”.

  • Diesel vs. Ben Jordan

Shawn Michaels is conspicuous by his absence. Diesel gets some cheers all the way through as he runs through his standard offense. JACKKNIFE gets the win at 3:48.

Vince takes a stab at MLB for being on strike during World Series week. Let it go!

Before we leave, Bob Backlund comes back out in his ring gear and starts prancing around like a crazy person.

NEXT WEEK: It’s the SPECIAL HALLOWEEN EPISODE! Bob Backlund meets Lex Luger. Another Survivor Series report. Plus, the Undertaker will join Jerry Lawler on the King’s Court.

DON’T MISS THE ACTION ZONE ON SUNDAY AT NOON, JERKS. Diesel and Shawn Michaels put their WWF tag gold on the line to face Razor Ramon and the 1-2-3 Kid. That match is a freaking classic!
