• Brian Pillman vs. Bruno Sassi
  

Pillman goes for some quick moves to start on Sassi. Meanwhile, Tony and Kevin talk up Flair versus Sting for July 7 and how the Dudes with Attitudes aren’t real men because their fans drink Kool-Aid and listen to rap music. Pillman then gets AGGRESSIVE with some great looking chops and finishes him off with a Flying Body Press at 2:51.

Tony takes us back to the Clash of the Champions when the Four Horsemen ruined the Junkyard Dog’s chances of gaining the NWA world title. Jim Herd says he and the board of directors considered kicking the Four Horsemen out of WCW, but decided not to when Sting, Luger, and the Steiners all begged him to keep them here so they could get their hands on them. All the same, Herd will be meeting with the Four Horsemen next week to tell them all about the stipulations for the Flair/Sting match at the Great American Bash.

WCW THIS WEEK: Tony brings out Arn Anderson and Barry Windham. They will be joining Sid Vicious to face Paul Orndorff, Junkyard Dog, and El Gigante. AA seems concerned about these three, but Barry Windham doesn’t. Hmpfh. In comes Ric Flair. Sting, all you have to do is beat Ric Flair. WOO.

WCW presents the Great American Bash on July 7 from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. Here is the card as it looks on 6/23:

• Lex Luger vs. Pete Sanchez
  

The Steiners, Junkyard Dog, and Paul Orndorff surround the ring in case the Four Horsemen try anything. Of course, the Horsemen DO try to intimidate the Dudes with Attitudes, but Luger pays them no mind and submits Sanchez in 4:11. Lex dropped Sanchez the first time, but powered him up on the second one. Sanchez is just a FAT dude.

• Buddy Landel vs. Vern Henderson
  

Well, this took awhile. Lots of face gouging and what not. Tony and Kevin debate whether or not the Horsemen need to hear about the stipulations from Herd. LANDEL ELBOW DROP gets the win in 4:27.

• Paul Orndorff vs. Cliff Sheets
  

Orndorff cups his ears to listen to his fans like he’s Hulk Hogan. Sullivan wonders if he’s hard of hearing. Once again, the Dudes with Attitudes head out and stand by one of their own. The Horsemen come out just to let them know that they know what’s going on. Orndorff gets REALLY aggressive here trying to break the poor guy’s arm. Flying elbow smash to the noggin sets up the PILEDRIVER in 4:44.

• Barry Windham vs. Tim Parker
  

Ric Flair subs for Kevin Sullivan on commentary for the rest of today’s show. Tony questions him about dodging Jim Herd’s stipulations. Flair says he only takes order from Ted Turner. Running Lariat destroys Parker in 1:30. He’s a HORSEMEN, Tony.

WCW THIS WEEK (part two): Paul Orndorff and his partners don’t mind getting nasty when it comes time to meet the Four Horsemen at the Great American Bash. Lex Luger says Mean Mark he’s going to find out just how good he is and then watch Sting’s back something about the NWA world title. Lex never was a great stick man, I must say. He got a little excited there though. Sting wraps up the string of interviews saying he has 100% bet on him ending Flair’s NWA world title run.

• NWA World Television Champion Arn Anderson vs. Tom Zenk
  

Zenk ties up with Arn to start and pushes him back into the corner. He holds tight on a headlock and won’t let go, so Arn pulls the hair and yanks Zenk down to the mat to get the break he needs. When Arn narrowly escapes a headscissors on the mat, Zenk punches him back down into the corner. AA backs Zenk into the ropes and buries a knee in him, but then Zenk catches Arn with a drop toehold. AA makes the ropes and complains of Zenk pulling the tights to slow things down and piss off Zenk. Over in the corner, Arn sneaks in a left hook when the ref tries to get in between them. He punishes Zenk in the corner, but Z-Man punches him away and delivers a backdrop. Back elbow near the ropes gets two. Arn dumps Zenk to the floor and tries to suplex him back in, but Zenk flips out. When he tries the O’Connor roll, Arn ducks and runs Zenk throat-first into the top rope to manage the three-count. (5:56) Zenk made that look LEGIT. Good short match as Zenk will have to try another day to get that TV title. *½

Tony interviews Sting, Paul Orndorff, and the Junkyard Dog to close out the show.
