  • NWA World Tag Team Champions Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima vs. Killer Elite Squad (w/TAKA Michinoku) – (Dominion 6.21.14)

K.E.S. attack TenKoji to start. Davey Boy and Tenzan begin things in the ring. Tenzan wins a shoulderblock battle and busts out a spinning heel kick. They switch out and allow Archer and Kojima some time. Archer refuses to go down to a shoulderblock and heaves Kojima into the corner. Kojima blocks the charge and Tenzan helps out with Mongolian chops to Archer. Double team elbow drops to Archer leads to Kojima chops in the corner. Michinoku is enough distraction on the apron to cause Kojima to turn around into a Black Hole Slam from Archer. Double-team splash and legdrop from K.E.S. gets two. Smith hits a suplex and wears down Kojima with a camel clutch. He rips off the nasal strip! OH THE HUMANITY! Anyways, Kojima avoids a corner charge from Archer and hot tags Tenzan. Knee drop bulldog on Archer gets two. Archer catches Tenzan with a big boot and slams him down for a Flying Moonsault for 1-2-NO! VINTAGE LANCE HOYT~! Of course, it’s also disrespectful to Tenzan. He even gives Tenzan some Mongolian chops to draw some boos. Tenzan delivers the desperation Mountain Bomb and tags Kojima. Davey Boy cuts him off immediately with a running knee. Kojima chops are coming though and so is the Flying Elbow. Cover, 1-2-NO! They exchange elbow strikes. Kojima looks to win that battle, but Davey Boy catches him with a powerslam for two. Tiger Suplex with the bridge, but Kojima kicks out. KILLER BOMB to Kojima! Cover, 1-2-NO! Tenzan makes the save. Kojima avoids the BULLDOG BOMB as they start giving each other clotheslines. He finally lands the COZY LARIAT for the three-count to retain the belts. (12:42 shown) Pretty entertaining little match. K.E.S. has no respect for their elders and TenKoji beat it into them. ***

  • IWGP Tag Team Champions Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Togi Makabe – (Dominion 6.21.14)

Makabe is selling a broken jaw here, but that won’t stop him. Of course, it makes for some cringe worthy moments in this match. Tanahashi and Anderson start us off. Hammerlock and headlocks follows. Anderson blatantly pulls the hair and bites Tanahashi in the corner. Gallows and Makabe tag in for a shoulderblock battle. When Gallows can’t drop Makabe, he delivers a right hand on the jaw. Oh boy. JAW PSYCHOLOGY~! Makabe has to tag out here. Tanahashi thinks he’s a house of fire and tries to splash Gallows, but he gets grabbed so that Anderson can deliver a running knee to the head. To the floor we go, Gallows beats up Makabe and drops a piece of a guardrail on the man. Meanwhile, Anderson gives Tanahashi a powerbomb on the apron. So yeah, Tanahashi is in trouble here with Makabe unable to be much of a threat. Tanahashi is *your* face in peril in the Bullet Club corner. He manages to reach his corner, but Makabe is still out on the floor. Eventually, he hits Anderson with a flying forearm and sees that Makabe is there in his corner. Hot tag to Makabe, he is all lariats on the BC. Northern lights suplex on Anderson gets two. AA Spinebuster slows Makabe down though. Tag to Gallows, he loses a clothesline battle to Makabe. Tanahashi tags in and goes for the crossbody in the corner, but Gallows catches him like a baby and delivers a fallaway slam. Reverse 3D to Tanahashi sets up a couple splashes from the Bullet Club for two. SWIVEL GUN STUN gets two as well. Makabe breaks up the MAGIC KILLER and cleans house on Gallows. Sling Blade to Anderson! Tanahashi tries the HIGH FLY FLOW, but hits knees as Anderson cradles him up for 1-2-NO! After a series of reversals, Tanahashi avoids the Bernard Driver and leg whips Anderson. Tag to Makabe, he runs into a boot from Anderson. Makabe runs through the Bullet Club though with a double clothesline. He lands a King Kong Powerbomb on Anderson for 1-2-NO! Death Valley Bomb puts Anderson in position for the HIGH FLY FLOW. Makabe wants the KING KONG KNEE DROP, but Gallows stops him with a chairshot. GALLOWS POLE to Makabe! Cover by Anderson, 1-2-NO! Tanahashi stops the MAGIC KILLER this time, but winds up taking it himself. Makabe makes one last ditch effort to fight off the Bullet Club, but Anderson stops the KING KONG LARIAT to Gallows with the GUN STUN FROM OUTTA NOWHERE. There’s the MAGIC KILLER. Bullet Club retains the belts. (17:41) Pretty sweet match here with Makabe’s desire to drop that knee could have cost them the IWGP tag titles. ***½

NEXT WEEK: More from Dominion 6.21. Seriously, they have given us all but two matches from this entire show. Shinsuke Nakamura battles Bad Luck Fale over the IWGP IC title! Plus, Hirooki Goto and Katsuyori Shibata meet Yuji Nagata and Tomoaki Honma.
