IT’S GETTING HOT IN HERRE! Your hosts are Jim Ross and Shane McMahon.

  • Southern Justice vs. Golga & Kurrgan (w/Giant Silva & Luna)

The Rock comes out before the bell and sets up a ladder on the stage. More on that later. Knight slaps Kurrgan and gets shoved down for his show of disrespect. Kurrgan drills Knight with a clothesline and tags out to Golga. Cartman from South Park is everywhere in this match. Hey, anybody watch the South ParQ special the other night? Pretty hilarious stuff. Some corner offense from Golga. The turnbuckle smashes from Knight stop working. Knight rips at the eye holes and tags out to Canterbury. Whoa, Canterbury is able to suplex Golga. Dustin Runnels is shown in the crowd with a sign that says, “He’s Coming Back.” Knight is back in and he’s slugging Golga in the corner. Golga reverses a corner whip though and delivers the Avalanche. Here comes the Earthquake Splash, but Knight gets out of the way in time. Tag to Canterbury, he runs down Golga with a clothesline and hits the SLOP DROP. Kurrgan breaks up the pin, but Knight clotheslines him out to the floor. Luna then jumps on Canterbury and we’ve got a DQ. (4:09) Jeff Jarrett runs in with his clippers. Before he can cut any of Luna’s hair, Giant Silva runs Jarrett out of the ring and gives Canterbury a CHOKESLAM to pop the crowd. ¾*

  • WWF European Championship: D’Lo Brown (c) vs. Animal

Hawk shows up in the ring in his street clothes and starts loosing up like he’s about to go. Animal and the ref try to get him out of the ring, but he’s “messed up”. Crowd is too busy chanting that D’Lo sucks to show Hawk any sympathy. Mark Henry shows up to even the odds here for his fellow Nation member. He knocks Hawk off the apron and gives him a splash. Once Hawk is taken care of, Henry slams Animal for the LO DOWN from D’Lo. Here comes Droz to the ring with a chair to scare away the Nation. Yep, no match. N/R

“BRAWL FOR ALL” video package airs. Bart Gunn meets Bradshaw in the BFA finals on Raw is War this week.

  • Owen Hart & Dan Severn vs. The Headbangers

Edge is shown watching on from the crowd. Thrasher runs wild on Owen to start. Tag to Severn, he spears down Thrasher and not much else. Thrasher reverses a whip in the ropes and hiptosses Severn. Mosh tags in and starts working the arm. He switches over to the knee for some reason. This is getting awkward. The Headbangers deliver the Cannonball Crash to Severn. Blind tag to Owen, he lands the Spinning Heel Kick on Thrasher. He follows up with a suplex, but misses a corner charge for the Bobby Eaton bump. Tag to Mosh, he back drops Owen and follows up with the Butt-Butt in the corner. He slams Owen, nails Severn, and powerslams Owen for a nearfall. The match breaks down, Owen whips Mosh into Severn, and then puts him in the BEAST CHOKER. Meanwhile, Severn tosses Thrasher to the floor. It’s a UFC-LIKE CHOKEHOLD, folks. (3:51) Ross wonders if Owen plans to use that hold against Ken Shamrock in the Lion’s Den Match at SummerSlam. *

The Rock comes out and grabs the ladder he set up earlier off the stage to bring it with him to the ring. The ladder was used very AGGRESSIVELY in the Nation/DX street fight last week on RAW. A match between the Rock and Triple H has already been signed for SummerSlam, but now it could be a ladder match if the Rock accepts the challenge. First off, Rock calls the crowd a bunch of “trailer park trash”. We see Shane McMahon’s lady of the evening for the first time. Rock accepts the ladder match stipulation for SummerSlam. He then tells Triple H what he’s going to do to him. Once Rock wins, Helmsley will realize there is nobody else – AND THE ROCK MEANS NOBODY – who could be the People’s Champ if ya smell what the Rock is cookin’.

Apparently, Chyna will be calling out the Rock – tomorrow night on RAW.

  • WWF Light Heavyweight Championship: TAKA Michinoku (c) (w/the Yamaguchis!) vs. Scorpio

After some early wristlocks and such, they go to the floor where TAKA lands an Asai Moonsault. Yamaguchi-san gets involved, but fails as he runs into TAKA. Now Scorpio goes after Yamaguchi-san, but the wife stands in the way. Okay then. Scorpio heads back inside as TAKA takes over. Scorpio reverses a corner whip and avalanches TAKA. There’s a powerbomb to Michinoku. He follows up with a superkick, hits the Attitude Adjustment, and lands a Flying Moonsault. The Yamaguchis provide the distraction as TAKA wakes up and hits Scorpio with the MICHINOKU DRIVER for the win. (2:32) I’d like to see more of these two as TAKA is just now hitting his stride as a heel character. Val Venis appears at the top of the ramp. Tomorrow night on RAW, Val will be “speaking softly and carrying a big stick” as he’s ready to unload on him. TAKA and Val will meet tomorrow night on RAW in a 1-on-1 matchup. *½

We hear from Mario Lopez (who you for sure know from “Pacific Blue”!) concerning his recent appearance on RAW.

Recap video of what happened between Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Undertaker, and Kane on last week’s RAW where Austin drove a hearse to the show and put Kane (“disguised” as the Undertaker) in a casket and stuck him in the back of the hearse only to find the Undertaker as the driver. Tomorrow night on RAW, Austin has vowed to eliminate either the Undertaker or Kane before SummerSlam.

  • Darren Drozdov vs. Jeff Jarrett

Jarrett puts the boots to him to start and hits the Stroke before it’s his finish. Droz comes back with a big back elbow and clotheslines Jarrett out to the floor. They announce tore his left bicep during the Brawl for All. Droz winds up getting thrown into the ringpost. While he’s selling, X-PAC appears from the crowd and kicks Jarrett around for the DQ. (1:31) Looks like Jarrett has some clippers with him. Droz grabs Jarrett as X-Pac cuts some of his hair until SOUTHERN JUSTICE shows up and runs off Droz and X-Pac to close the show. ½*

That does it for tonight. Until we reach RAW, so long for now.
