Explosions are happening inside of a warehouse! Reflections of WWF superstars are seen on walls! People are fighting each other! IS THAT EVIL MARILYN MANSON MUSIC I HEAR? It must be the debut of RAW is WAR.

A tougher-looking show was just the thing the WWF needed at the time. We see pyro, we see the debut of the giant Titan Tron, and we see the steel rampway. All this change and yet we still have the same old red-white-blue colored ring. They may now have Attitude, but Vince is still totally 100% American. Those colors don’t run, ya know.

Your hosts are Vince McMahon, Jim Ross, and Jerry Lawler. Read the rest of this entry

Thursday Raw Thursday (02.13.97)

Thursday Raw Thursday
February 13, 1997
Lowell, MA
Memorial Auditorium
LIVE!

The current WWF champs were as follows:
World Champion: Shawn Michaels (1/19/1997)
Intercontinental Champion: Hunter Hearst Helmsley (10/21/1996)
World Tag Team Champions: Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith (9/22/1996)

Since the dog show interrupted Monday Night Raw’s regular timeslot and left WCW’s flagship program completely unopposed considering I highly doubt too many wrestling fans wanted to see which person’s dog took home the gold or whatever happens on those things, the WWF and the USA network fought back with a stacked card just three days before the next In Your House PPV with their own completely unopposed one-night-only wrestling program – THURSDAY RAW THURSDAY!

And they start us off with a bomb shell… “Tonight, the World Wrestling Federation Title will be declared vacant. Thus, this Sunday’s ‘Final Four’ winner will become the new World Wrestling Federation Champion. Tonight…live…Shawn Michaels will forfeit the World Wrestling Federation Championship.”

Your hosts are Vince McMahon, Good Ol’ JR, and Jerry “The King” Lawler. Read the rest of this entry

So WCW does a Monday night dome show, now the WWF does one too? Vince wastes no time in taking a moment to brag that it’s the biggest live audience for a Monday night show that no one is watching.

Your hosts are Vince McMahon and Good Ol’ JR. Read the rest of this entry

Free For All:

Earlier Today on Superstars, Bret and Sid got into a FIGHT outside the arena. What are Shawn’s thoughts on the matter? Whatever. Bret has told the world that if HBK ruins this match for him, that there will be HELL TO PAY! Shawn’s shaking in his boots over that one. He calls Bret stupid and obnoxious.
