The Shawn Michaels Mixtape (Part One)

Since I’m trying to keep this mainly about Shawn’s singles run, you’ll find the Rockers era completely left out. There’s a handful of tags, but most of them just accentuate a feud he might be involved in at the time. Even if I did leave in the Rockers era, I can’t think of any hidden gems that I haven’t already recapped from their time in the WWF, for sure. I’m sure there’s an AWA match with Buddy Rose and Doug Somers I haven’t seen like the one from WrestleRock, but I’ve done the three main ones – the bloodbath, a cage match, and the title switch. I’ve recapped all three of Shawn’s DVD sets, which took care of a lot of his matches, so what you’ll see here is what’s left. Read the rest of this entry

Your host is the legendary Todd Pettengill. He wonders if the net worth of the house they gave away is still in the positives after the housing market crash. Sheesh. Forget that this guy still has an ’80s-sitcomy vibe about him, he’s making 2008 jokes. Read the rest of this entry

Up to this point in my RAW 1993 recaps, they have all been WWE 24/7 edits. For the next six episodes, these recaps will be experienced by me through the original USA network broadcasts. Tonight’s main event: Money Inc. takes on the Beverly Brothers! Very strange promo to advertise as both teams take turns standing around in darkness staring off into the nothingness of space as they each announce to the world that they are fairly confident that they will win. Feels like the inspiration came from some weak 1980s music video.
Your hosts are Vince McMahon, Randy Savage, and Rob Bartlett. Read the rest of this entry

There’s a terrible BLIZZARD all over the northeastern US and apparently the Manhattan Center is snowed in! Somehow it’s not as bad just 80 miles north though, because we’re about to get RAW in Poughkeepsie. This marks the first episode to not take place in NYC. Enjoy!
Your hosts are Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan, and Rob Bartlett doing a horrible Vince McMahon impression. So bad, he’s just embarrassing himself. All he does right is the gravelly voice when Vince stretches out the word “Raw”, and that doesn’t really require any skills. Read the rest of this entry
