- Lex Luger (w/Chief Jay Strongbow) vs. Tatanka (w/Ted DiBiase)
Tatanka attacked his former mentor Chief Jay Strongbow during his match with Luger that ended in a double countout two weeks ago on the Action Zone, which leads to this encounter. It’s a real cat and mouse game to start as Luger is overanxious trying to get his hands on Tatanka. Luger NO-SELLS some chops and fires back, but gets dumped out onto the guardrail. Ouch! Tatanka slams Luger’s face off the steps and gives him a Wahoo chop inside for two. Commercials! When we return, Tatanka is still in control and sets Luger up for a bearhug. He escapes and drops Tatanka with a back suplex. Lex mounts a comeback and grabs a sleeper, which Vince and Cornette convince us is clearly influenced by Strongbow. Tatanka backs Lex into the corner to break the hold and goes after Strongbow. They exchange words and Tatanka steals away Strongbow’s headdress. That results in chops. As Tatanka regroups and looks for revenge on the old man, Luger comes over and clotheslines him down. Back inside, Luger continues to put the hurting on Tatanka as we take a second ad break. AND WE’RE BACK! Luger is still milking that comeback. Clotheslines everywhere! DiBiase and Tatanka decide that they have had enough, but Luger brings him back to the ring. Luger hits a powerslam and calls for the REBEL RACK. Tatanka tries to leave again with DiBiase, but gets pulled up onto the apron and takes a suplex back inside. Turnbuckle smashes and stomps follow! Luger is going crazy! DiBiase brings Luger away so Tatanka can roll out and leave for good this time as he takes the countout loss to fight another day. (12:54 shown) Since Lex did not get what he wanted, he runs after Tatanka to get him some more. A real beat-em-up match, but not much else going on here. **
Let Us Take You Back: Superstars, 2/25/95. During a 20-man battle royal, Jerry Lawler tried to take a page out of HBK’s playbook by getting tossed out to the floor landing on only one foot. Lawler then hobbled around ringside on one foot. Meanwhile, Bret Hart – who was also at ringside – stomped Lawler’s foot that was touching the floor to make sure he got eliminated for realz.
- Owen Hart vs. Larry Santo
Vince mentions that Owen is looking for a partner to face the Smoking Gunns at WrestleMania 11. Cornette makes a joke about Santo being the son of famous Mexican wrestler El Santo. Missile dropkick and the SHARPSHOOTER is enough to put away Larry at 3:46.
We now go to Lawrence Taylor via satellite. He says that he saw Bam Bam Bigelow get beat by a 13 year-old at the Royal Rumble. He also thinks Bigelow shoves like a sissy. Well you fell down pretty hard, brah. As for a match at WrestleMania, LT says he’s still weighing his options on what he’s going to do next. Bigelow gets to respond and has a little trouble communicating. He wants to meet up with LT at the Harley Davidson Café in New York City for the WrestleMania 11 press conference. LT says he will be there and then walks off the set.
- Doink the Clown (w/Dink) vs. Bob Cook
Dink runs in for a few “comedy” spots here and there. Doink puts away Cook with the WHOOPIE CUSHION at 3:31.
- Kama vs. Ken Raper
That’s not a typo. His name really is Raper. He looks like a Raper too. KAMA WANTS COMPETITION! Belly to Belly Suplex sets up the modified STF for the win at 3:38.
Before we go, we hear from Davey Boy Smith about his match for next week’s Raw. He wants to take a bite out of the Heartbreak Kid.
Oh yeah, and Todd Pettingell hypes the WrestleMania 11 press conference in NYC. You can call into the WWF Superstar line starting at noon to get a scoop on all the happenings.
