WWF: Monday Night Raw (11.15.93)
WWF: Monday Night Raw
November 15, 1993
The current WWF champs are as follows:
World Champion: Yokozuna (6/11/1993)
Intercontinental Champion: Razor Ramon (9/27/1993)
World Tag Team Champions: The Quebecers (9/13/1993)
Your hosts are Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan. Jack Tunney decided that Randy Savage is just a little too volatile to be at ringside, so he’s nowhere to be seen this week.
- WWF Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon vs. The Brooklyn Brawler
Vince breaks the news that Shawn Michaels has been reinstated by the WWF. He will be replacing Jerry Lawler in his match at Survivor Series who will be out of action for a while due to some legal troubles. Brawler bum rushes Razor and tries to steal the belt away to knock him out, but Ramon punches him back and gives him the Fallaway Slam. Brawler escapes an ab stretch and works a chinlock for a moment. Ramon fights out and hits the RAZOR’S EDGE for the win at 2:54.
In the back, Crush laughs at Randy Savage for losing his commentary job. Next time Savage gets in his way, he will lose a whole lot more, bruddah.
Survivor Series Showdown: Sunday night at 7/6 c. WWF champ Yokozuna battles Bret Hart for the first time since WrestleMania IX.
ICOPRO: you gotta want it.
- The Headshrinkers (w/Afa) vs. Mike Bucci & Mike Moraldo
Fatu and Samu take a little longer than necessary with Moraldo as they lift him up off the canvas a time or two. Fatu lands the SAMOAN SPLASH for the win at 4:27.
Let Us Take You Back to This Past Weekend on Superstars: Lex Luger and the Steiner Brothers announce their new tag partner to replace Tatanka. It’s the Undertaker! Who knew Taker was such a patriot?
- Lex Luger vs. Quebecer Pierre (w/Johnny Polo)
Lex pounds Pierre from the start and delivers a back suplex for two. Back in the ring, Luger does more of the same. Pierre takes another breather only to be chased around ringside by Lex. Polo tries to distract Lex, but it backfires as Pierre gets tossed aside. Commercials! AND WE’RE BACK! Pierre blocks a hiptoss and catches Lex with a clothesline to turn the tide. Luger mounts a comeback, but gets tripped up by Polo and knocked out to the floor. Pierre follows him out and smashes Lex’s face off the steps. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Pierre then slams Luger’s back into the ringpost. Back inside, that gets two. Pierre delivers the Bossman straddle and follows up with a pump splash for two. It’s chinlock time and Luger starts to fight his way up when we go to commercial. Back again and Lex finally stands up and falls back on Pierre to break the hold. Nevertheless, Pierre delivers a PILEDRIVER. Cover, 1-2-NO! Now Pierre starts coming off the top. It looks like he wasn’t supposed to land the first time and definitely doesn’t connect the second time he decides to fly. Luger fights off some turnbuckle smashing and mounts his comeback with clotheslines. Powerslam gets two. Pierre punches Luger down to prevent a superplex, but then gets slammed down. In comes Polo, he’s knocked into next week. BIONIC FOREARM to Pierre! Cover, 1-2-3. (13:32 shown) Heenan’s reaction is gold. He’s pissed about that loaded forearm. When was the last time you heard a color commentator say something wasn’t fair? I miss the good old days when things made sense. **½
When we come back from commercial, Quebecer Pierre does a stretcher job. Is he out of Survivor Series now too? WHO KNOWS.
- Diesel vs. Sid Garrison
Vince creams himself as he talks about massive Diesel is. After he runs through most of his move set, Diesel wins with a Big Boot and an elbow drop at 3:29.

We now go to a recording studio where Double J Jeff Jarrett is auditioning some pickers to be on his debut album and nobody here is good enough. Jarrett figures in order to get to the top, he’s going to have to play all the instruments himself. Hey look, it’s Jacqueline playing as Jeff’s manager. She goes by the name Wynonna and was intended to have a full-time gig in the WWF before she was injured down in the USWA.
NEXT WEEK: No show. Raw returns on 11/29.
