The current WWF champs are as follows:
World Champion: Yokozuna (6/11/1993)
Intercontinental Champion: Razor Ramon (9/27/1993)
World Tag Team Champions: The Quebecers (9/13/1993)
Your hosts are Vince McMahon, Bobby Heenan, and Randy Savage. Heenan makes a Fan Man joke. Look it up. If Crush shows up, Savage promises that all hell will break loose. Call 1-900-454-4RAW to vote Quebecer Pierre’s opponent for next week’s show. Your choices are the 1-2-3 Kid, Doink the Clown, Marty Jannetty, or LEX LUGER. I mean, really guys?
- Scott Steiner vs. Ludvig Borga
Borga BUM RUSHES THE SHOW on Steiner. Scott gets his liver punched a bunch. He nails Scott with a flying clothesline, but Steiner quickly avoids a backdrop with a butterfly slam. Pumphandle slam follows and the crowd eats it up. Borga takes a breather on the floor as the crowd chants USA. Back inside, Borga wears down Steiner with a headlock. Scott fights out and hits an overhead belly to belly suplex for two. Borga fights up and catches Steiner with another liver shot. Jumping clothesline gets another nearfall for Borga. Scott avoids an elbow drop and dropkicks Borga to the floor as the Quebecers head down for moral support. Commercials! When we return, Scott wins a suplex battle on the apron. He clamps on a Boston crab as his brother Rick comes out to even the odds a little bit. Borga escapes the hold, but gets rolled up several times for nearfalls. Steiner wants a missile dropkick and connects, but doesn’t get all of it as Borga looked to be over half way across the ring. Borga comes back with a powerslam and punches Scott to the floor. Rick gets up on the apron and he’s pulled in the ring by Borga. He levels Borga with a back suplex. The Quebecers pounce on Rick Steiner and the ref calls for the DQ. WHAT. (10:32 shown) In comes Scott to clean house on the heels. Not a very strong encounter as you might expect. *½
This week, J-E-DOUBLE-F J-A-DOUBLE-R-E-DOUBLE-T visits the Grand Ole Opry in his 1968 Cadillac. Unlike the corrupt country music business, Jeff Jarrett takes care of his property. He shows us the Grand Ole Opry has graffiti on the doors. There’s a sign on the doors that says the Grand Ole Opry is closed for renovation until the summer of 1994. The building reminds him of the Undertaker, who is also DEAD. He’s going to use the WWF to become the best in the music biz. Yeah, we’ve heard it all before, pal.
- Men on a Mission (w/Oscar) vs. Corey Student & Steve Smith
Steve Smith picks an ill-advised fight with Mabel. Corey Student gets squashed – literally. After a DDT, Mo knocks Mabel down on top of Student for the three-count at 3:37.
ICOPRO – Razor Ramon stores that stuff in his basement!
Time for the Survivor Series Report with Todd Pettengill. Survivor Series is scheduled for November 24 LIVE on PPV. Here is the card as it stands on November 8:
- MAIN EVENT: The All-Americans (Lex Luger, ???, Rick & Scott Steiner) vs. The Foreign Fanatics (Yokozuna, Ludvig Borga, and the Quebecers)
- The Hart Family (Bret, Owen, Bruce, and Keith Hart) vs. Jerry Lawler and his Knights
- Razor Ramon, Mr. Perfect, Marty Jannetty, and the 1-2-3 Kid vs. Diesel, Irwin R. Schyster, Adam Bomb, and Rick Martel
- The Headshrinkers, Bam Bam Bigelow & Bastion Booger vs. Four Doinks
- SMW Tag Team Champions Rock N Roll Express vs. The Heavenly Bodies
Undertaker tells me not to drink and drive or I will have to hang out with him.
- Rick Martel vs. John Paul
Vince teases Randy Savage as the possible replacement for Tatanka. Martel gets a rematch with Razor Ramon over the IC title this weekend on Superstars. He makes quick work of the Pope here as Martel submits him with the QUEBEC CRAB at 3:23.
- Crush vs. Dan Dubiel
Macho cannot wait for Crush to come out, but McMahon reminds him that he can’t get physically involved. Vince McMahon does all he can to calm Savage down, but in a rare moment for the time, even HE gets thrown aside. Savage meets Crush in the aisleway and it’s a big pull apart brawl from the get-go. ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE! No match, obvs.
- Bob Backlund vs. Barry Horowitz
Vince chastises Heenan for egging on Savage about Crush the entire show. About half way through, Savage returns to do commentary. A camera backstage sees Crush break loose out of his dressing room. Macho runs backstage and goes after Crush again. Commercials!
When we return, there’s no mention of the match – just that Randy Savage has been locked out of the building. Lex Luger wins the poll by a landslide of 62%. Next week, he will face Quebecer Pierre.
Savage and Crush continue to brawl outside the building to close out the show.
NEXT WEEK: Well, Lex Luger vs. Pierre. We just talked about this.
