WWF: Monday Night Raw
December 20, 1993
White Plains, NY
Westchester County Civic Center

The current WWF champs are as follows:
World Champion: Yokozuna (6/11/1993)
Intercontinental Champion: Razor Ramon (9/27/1993)
World Tag Team Champions: The Quebecers (9/13/1993)

Your hosts are Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels.

  • Jeff Jarrett vs. PJ Walker

As a few different wrestlers would share Bobby Heenan’s color commentary spot on Raw before Jerry Lawler would take over for good, Shawn Michaels fills in Bobby’s seat hole tonight. Since he has upset IRS before, PJ Walker attempts to do the same to Jarrett on his WWF TV debut, but Jarrett stops him with a running DDT and a handful of tights for the pin. (4:07) Don’t forget the name – that’s JE-double-F-J-A-double-R-E-double-T. ½*

  • Men on a Mission (w/Oscar) vs. Duane Gill & Barry Hardy

Despite their best efforts, Gill and Hardy are unsuccessful with their double-teaming Mabel. Slop Drop by Mo sets up a splash off the middle rope from Mabel onto Hardy for the win at 4:37.

  • Ludvig Borga vs. Tatanka

This is a rematch from two months ago when Borga ended Tatanka’s undefeated streak by pinning him with ONE FINGER. Tatanka goes right after Borga to start. After a ten-count corner punch and some head chops, we go to the floor where Tatanka runs Borga into the post. In the ring, more head chops and a slam sets up a jumping elbow drop. Flying body press gets two. As they run the ropes, Borga blasts Tatanka with a body avalanche. CRAP. He starts up with the body blows and crossbody blocks Tatanka in the corner, but Tatanka NO-SELLS. Tatanka delivers a few more head chops, but charges into a powerslam. Borga misses an elbow drop though and Tatanka fires back with a series of running clotheslines. Here comes Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji. As Tatanka heads to the top rope to put Borga away, Fuji nails Tatanka with the flag pole while Yoko has the ref’s attention. Yoko then just walks into the ring to get at Tatanka for the DQ. (4:43) Tatanka unloads on Yoko with his running head chops and nearly knocks him down when Borga nails Tatanka from behind. Right then, Lex Luger runs down for the save. He punches Borga out of the ring and slams Yoko to send him rolling out to the floor. Boy, if anything says Borga’s push is over, this match does. *½

  • Adam Bomb (w/Harvey Wippleman) vs. Mark Thomas

Captain Lou Albano is out here for some reason. ATOM SMASHER ends Thomas at 1:43.

The name’s Thurman Plugg, but his friends call him Sparky. You can call him Sparky. He’s coming to the WWF real soon.

They air Owen Hart’s challenge for Bret on Superstars back on 12/10 and Bret’s reaction on Superstars this past weekend on Superstars. Bret will never under any circumstances fight his own brother.

  • Owen Hart vs. Mike Bell

Owen wears the Bret Hart shades out to the ring and gives the pair to a little kid. Just it looked like Bell was a complete ragdoll here, Owen lets him get in a few spots. Belly to belly suplex sets up the SHARPSHOOTER for the win at 3:12.

We go to the Undertaker’s private workshop where he’s building a casket big enough to fit Yokozuna using some 19th century tools. You would think he had made enough money in the WWF to at least afford a miter saw, amirite?

  • The Headshrinkers (w/Afa) vs. Phil Apollo & Jerry Seavy

Talk between Vince and HBK turns to a $2 million Donald Trump wedding with Marla Maples. Seavy really resembles Marty Jannetty. Powerbomb, double facebuster, and the SAMOAN SPLASH from Fatu takes care of Seavy at 3:07 shown.

NEXT WEEK: In the main event, Marty Jannetty meets Johnny Polo. We’ll also see highlights of the WWF Women’s title tournament finals with Alundra Blayze taking on Heidi Lee Morgan. In action, Razor Ramon and Lex Luger will be here. Don’t miss it!
