EDITOR NOTE: Sorry for the delay. I know you were all waiting on bated breath for me to finish this recap because it was such a GREAT time in WCW. This was a case where I started the show, got half-way through writing it up, didn’t click the Save button for some reason, and my computer decided to restart for updates in the middle of the night. A busy two weeks past and I’m finally getting this one done. FUN STUFF.

Your hosts are Tony Schiavone, Lee Marshall, and Larry Zbyszko. Bobby Heenan wasn’t part of this episode of Thunder due to the passing of his mother-in-law. To make him not appear human or as a guy with a family, they mention he’s in Auburn Hills gearing up for the PPV. Read the rest of this entry

Right off the freaking bat we get a SUPER patriotic start to the show because Hollywood Hogan – the guy WCW has vilified as an evil human being for the past 2+ years has announced he’s running for POTUS – and we really want to encourage that. I tell ya, Jesse Ventura becoming the new Governor of Minnesota might actually have been the worst thing to happen to wrestling because wrestling never knows when to quit – and this is a perfect example of that. Since they haven’t had much major “media attention” over the past couple months, they have clearly missed it.

We start the program with EXCITING still shots of last night’s Halloween Havoc. What match were the still shots from, you ask? Hogan versus Warrior – only the BIGGEST rematch in the HISTORY of pro grappling? Nope, think again. Goldberg versus DDP? Good guess, but still wrong. It’s Sting versus Bret Hart. Looks like Bret murdered Sting last night with his own ball bat, which seems pretty important, but a weird way to start the show.
