NOW ONTO THIS WEEK:
In the locker room, Prince Puma is working those biceps while reflecting back on the time he lost the Lucha Underground title to Mil Muertes back at Ultima Lucha. Pentagon Jr. interrupts his workout to thank him for helping him make another sacrifice to his Master last week. Referring as if Prince Puma already knows this, Pentagon Jr. mentions he and Puma will team up tonight against the Disciples of Death. Together they will continue to break more bones and when the DOD are defeated, the next sacrifice will be Prince Puma. O RLY? Puma turns away and drops the barbells. Pentagon Jr. says it will happen because he is CERO MIEDO. This culminates in a movie style fight sequence. Pentagon gets kicked in the chin as Puma does a backflip. Puma backs Pentagon Jr. up against a wall and looks in his eyes to send him a message. I forget – has Prince Puma ever spoken a word in Lucha Underground? I don’t think he has.
The champ Mil Muertes is sitting up on his throne watching the show again this week. His right arm is in a leather sling.

Dario Cueto is looking sharp tonight in his tuxedo as he heads over to see Black Lotus whose stuck in a cell next to Dario’s Elephant Man brother. Dario reveals to her that it was in fact El Dragon Azteca who killed her parents. Since the Black Lotus people and El Dragon Azteca’s family were at war, El Dragon Azteca thought he would have the last laugh by blaming Dario’s brother for their death instead. Once Dario leaves to start the show, Black Lotus starts punching the wall to try and break loose. This thing is getting so convoluted with all this backstory, I’m starting to lose interest.

In Dario Cueto’s office, he meets with Big Ryck. He feels that Ryck has lost focus as of late and he’s been blinded by Daivari’s money. Ryck doesn’t like being told that he’s been blinded. Yikes. Dario wants Ryck out of Daivari’s shadow and back in the spotlight. He tells Ryck that tonight he will reveal the power of the Aztec medallions and hands him one of them. Ryck has to decide whether he wants money or power. Why not have them both? Dario hands Ryck a medallion and then Ryck holds out his hand for a big wad of cash. Ahh, just like the old days.

From somewhere presumably in Japan, Pentagon Jr. talks to his Master about what to do with Vampiro since he refuses to face him at Ultima Lucha. There’s a voice changer for the Master (who does speak English) so we do now know that he does exist even if only in Pentagon’s mind. Anyways, the Master instructs Pentagon to go after Vamp’s ego. Pentagon calls out Vampiro by his real name declaring to his Master that he will be his sacrifice.

In Dario Cueto’s office, Chavo Guerrero tells him that the Black Lotus has been trained by El Dragon Azteca. All of his family’s debt in Mexico will be forgiven if he protects her. However, it looks like Chavo is working on both sides here. A Guerrero is only truly loyal to the highest bidder. Cueto wants Black Lotus on a silver platter and starts stacking up money for Chavo. No cash, just around the clock protection from Mexico. Cueto grants him the request, but wants to know what Chavo really wants.

Dario Cueto goes to see his brother in the cage. He holds a red sack full of seven golden medallions in his hand. Apparently, it was part of their father’s fortune that was seemingly lost. Once united, the medallions will make a warrior more powerful than the gods. Wait, has Lucha Underground turned into Dragon Ball Z now? Anyways, some of his luchadores will begin fighting over the medallions tonight. Dario may even bring a TV in here for his brother to enjoy the mayhem.

We begin tonight’s program from wherever the black lotus is at. She’s still in her Mexican lucha libre training with El Dragon Azteca. She doesn’t know when he will let her fight, but she knows she is ready. She’s told that her anger is her greatest weakness, but Lotus feels it is her greatest strength. COME WITH ME. We get to see her fight off a bunch of dudes. This feels like Batman Begins to me. She gets into a back and forth struggle with El Dragon Azteca. When she fails, he knows she’s still not ready. Black Lotus looks very disappointed as we head over to the Temple.

From the roof of the Temple, Dario Cueto approaches Aerostar while he is gazing out into the heavens. Cueto reminds Aerostar that Drago gets his inspiration from the depths of hell. If Aerostar sees a shooting star, he should make a wish. Be careful what you wish for though. Everything in his Temple has a price.
