In order to crown the first-ever Open the Freedom Gate champion, there will be four qualifying matches – one will be a six-way match, one will be a fatal four way match, and also two singles matches. The winners of these four matches will be included in a four-way elimination match in the main event of this show and the last man standing will be crowned the Open the Freedom Gate champion. USA! – The video consists of wrestlers taking about what they were meant to do and their goals in TNA.

Mike Tenay and Tazz welcome everyone to Genesis
Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff make their way down to the ring. They enter the FOUR sided ring. Hogan welcomes the fans to the event and to the brand new Impact Zone, which gets a mixed reaction. “We Want Six Sides” chant starts up. Hogan says that the six sided ring only got them so far. Hogan says that they changed it whether the people like it or not. Hogan is proud to be apart of TNA Wrestling because it is all about wrestling. Eric Bischoff chimes in and says that they are all about change. Bischoff says that a lot more changes are coming for TNA. Hogan says “Whatcha gonna do Vince McMahon when TNA comes after you?”. The 100 Greatest WWE Matches of the Decade: 2006 (VINTAGE MATT~! edition)
Since Justin and Scott have only reached 2003 in their reviews and any extra work added on them to watch the next forty matches would be difficult and just too much at this time of year (especially when they have their own awesome sports/wrestling/TV forum), I’ll be doing solo shots of the final three years of this ten part column. I want to thank Justin and Scott for ALL their hard work and dedication when they were just merely doing me a favor. Let me assure you, those two guys are good people.
Alright, enough of the man love. As I mentioned in the 2005 column, this is my 500th post here at the blog. The interesting part about that is this post is actually a repost of a column I did after covering all the 2006 PPVs for TheHistoryofWWE.com. Anyways, it’s really hard to believe I’ve spent this much time on a blog, but here we are two and a half years later. I hope you all enjoy this!
