[1]: This was a tournament final.
[2]: Goldust impersonated champion Hunter Hearst Helmsley for this match, but WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter allowed the title change to stand.
[3]: During a tag team match with Shane McMahon & Kane took on champion X-Pac & Triple H where the European title was on the line, McMahon won the belt by pinning X-Pac. McMahon would retire the belt shortly after beating X-Pac at WrestleMania XV.
[4]: McMahon reactivated the title and awarded it to Mideon several months later.
[5]: Jarrett gave the title to Henry as a reward for helping him beat Brown for both the European and Intercontinental championships the previous night.
[6]: This was a triple-threat match which also included D’Lo Brown.
[7]: This was a triple-threa match which also included Chris Benoit.
[8]: The European title becomes exclusive to Raw when Regal gets drafted to Raw on March 26, 2002.

[1]: With the renewed ECW television show as WWE would have it be, the ECW title was revived and awarded to Rob Van Dam by Paul Heyman after winning the WWE championship.
[2]: This was an extreme elimination chamber match which also included Rob Van Dam, Test, Hardcore Holly and CM Punk.
[3]: This was a handicap match which put Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon and Umaga up against ECW champion Bobby Lashley. McMahon got the pinfall and won the title.
[4]: The title became vacant once Lashley was drafted to Raw.
[5]: Chris Benoit was actually chosen to be Punk’s opponent instead of Johnny Nitro (John Morrison) as another top contender, but never arrived for the show. I think we all know why he didn’t show.
[6]: Even though this is the ECW title, it became exclusive to Raw once Kane was drafted on June 23, 2008.
[7]: This was a triple-threat match which also included the Big Show. Since Mark Henry was a part of the ECW brand, the belt once again returned to where it belonged on ECW.
[8]: According the Championship Scramble rules, the ECW title could change hands any time during the match with any one gaining a pinfall on any one else regardless of whether or not they are the current champion. The match included Mark Henry, Finlay, Matt Hardy, Chavo Guerrero and The Miz.

[2]: So Melina tears her ACL and has to vacate the title on January 4, 2010.
[3]: This was a tournament final.
[4]: Of course this was a fatal four-way that also included the Divas champion Eve Torres and Gail Kim.
[5]: As the WWE Women’s champion, Michelle McCool beat Melina in a title unification match. It doesn’t matter though because instead of the WWE Women’s title becoming the main title for the WWE Divas, they just went and stuck with the Divas title a few weeks after this match took place.
[6]: The Divas title was defended in a handicap match as the Divas champ Michelle McCool and Layla lost to Natalya.
